Coach Bill Cason brings over thirty years of track & field and cross country coaching and recruiting experience to the All-American Sports Recruiting team. Coach Cason has coached and recruited hundreds of student-athletes in cross country and track & field from Clemson University, UNC Wilmington, Guilford College and St. Andrews University and is currently the Head Girls Cross Country Coach and Head Boys Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field coach at Simon G. Atkins High School where he has been named Mid State Cross Country Coach of the Year three straight years for 2022, 2023 & 2024.
Coach Cason was a two-time All-SEC runner at the University of Florida (1985 Graduate) with a degree in athletic administration/physical education and went on to coach at Clemson University where he earned his masters degree in guidance and counseling while also earning 1987 Atlantic Coast Conference Cross Country Coach of the Year.
Cason moved on from Clemson University to start the track & field programs at NCAA D1 UNC Wilmington, NCAA D3 Guilford College and NAIA St. Andrews University.
