NJCAA Prospective Student-Athlete Information

  NJCAA SCHOLARSHIPS

A JUCO scholarship is a great option for student-athletes.  Community colleges provide a great learning environment for student athletes as well as top class competition.

Junior colleges offer 2 year certificates and associate degrees that are recognized throughout the USA and overseas. Your athletic ability can pay for your degree and while competing in college sports.

Many talented athletes who were overlooked by NCAA schools have competed at JC level for 1 or 2 years and then been offered athletic scholarships at NCAA division I schools. If you think you have the talent to compete in the NCAA or NAIA then this could be the way to prove yourself, you will even receive credits for subjects taken at JC level.

The awarding of financial assistance and recruiting is not as competitive as in the NCAA but the standard is still high. To be in the running for scholarship offers you need to actively market yourself and put your MyScoutingReport into the hands the coaches.  Usually, they are not going to approach you, you need to be proactive and let the coaches know who you are and and what you have to offer their program.  All the information and tools you need to do this can be found on this site.

The NJCAA is the national governing body of 15 men's sports and 12 women's sports covering 3 divisions. Approximately 45,300 students compete in one of 24 regions and every year the NJCAA hosts over 50 national championships.
